New for 2010. With the completion of the renovation of the ‘old appartment’ within our sights (at one time the servant’s quarters during its 250 year history) we are delighted to announce a new holiday experience for the travel weary at La Cour Cachée.
In partnership exclusively with ‘Smartbox chambres d’hôtes of prestige’ our cosy appartment offers stylish bed and breakfast accommodation. (Awaiting classification by the French tourist board.)
The accommodation comprises of an open-plan kitchen/diner and snug with large open fire (unlimited logs available), on the first floor there is a large open-plan bedroom/sitting room with steps leading down to the bathroom, with bath and shower.
The appartment provides a comfortable, spacious retreat whether en-route to pastures new or staying a while to explore the treasures of the South Vendee. Maillezais is situated in the heart of the Marais Poitevin, 'La Venise Verte', a labarynth of rare and tranquil waterways created by the monks of the abbey a thousand years ago and now an important nature reserve.
Breakfast comprises of a selection of fresh patisseries, home-made jams and local honey, fruit and a variety of teas, coffee and juices. Cooked breakfast available on request.
Jacuzzi on site.
90 euros per night, sleeps two plus sofa bed for up to two children.
The appartment can be reserved for longer periods over the winter months, tariff to be confirmed.
