Life can be pretty stressful sometimes and the chance to escape somewhere different with mates can be just the tonic you need.

A ‘kit and kaboodle’ weekend at La Cour Cachée can be adapted to suit your preferences: wine-tasting, golf, fishing (in season), mountain biking and/or go-karting.

All transport is provided, including collection and drop-off at the airport.

Spend the following day getting muddy mountain biking off-road in spectacular scenery in the forest of Mervent.

Golfing on one of two prestigious golf sites in the area (Niort or La Rochelle).

Wine tasting at the local vineyard at Vix famous for its muscadet.

Fishing on a nearby lake in the heart of the Marais Poitevin.

Racing round a go-kart track, 15 minutes from the gîte in Fontenay le Comte.

Return for a soak in our hydrotherapy jacuzzi before dining out at a riverside restaurant.

Nothing to worry about, just kick back and enjoy a little taste of France.

Example Itinerary;

Day 1.

Collection from La Rochelle airport, (approximately 35 minutess away).

Time to unwind , open a bottle of wine from the local vineyard and enjoy a three course  meal, all prepared on site using the best organic local produce.

Day 2.

Breakfast, (bacon and our own free range eggs) before leaving for the activity of your choice ;

Choose from:
Golf.
Mountain biking.
Fishing (in season)
Walking.
Go-karting.
Wine tasting.
Canoeing.
Or a combination.

Return for a revitalising jacuzzi before dining out at a riverside restaurant.

Day 3:

Breakfast as before.

Then choose from a morning of:
Biking.
Hiking or
Just resting….
Back to the gîte for a late lunch before heading back to the airport.
